In order to celebrate the finale of our favourite baking tv show, we have asked two of our managers to rise to the occasion and get stuck into a ‘technical challenge’… __with a twist.
With no electricity, no refrigeration and no modern weighing scales the pair must go head to head in a Victorian kitchen to create the perfect gingerbread man. The judges? Two Victorian Costumed Demonstrators, of course!
Managers Hayley McCafferty-David and Kevin Cooksey, will give up modern day facilities and take on the task that our costumed staff demonstrate each weekend, by attempting to recreate a recipe from the world famous Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management with the method instructions removed. They’ll have to master a two hundred year old cast iron range as well as the fine art of weighing their ingredients on an old-fashioned pair of scales.
